定义

定语对名词或代词进行修饰或限定。

定语的功能

例如，a beautiful girl中，girl是被修饰的。

a表示数量，把数量限定在一个，而不是多个；

beautiful修饰了girl，表明女孩是漂亮的，也限定在漂亮，排除了丑。

形容词：

初学时，我把定语理解为形容词，这么理解，方向对但是不全面。能做定语的成分太多了，不单单是形容词。

不定式：

I have nothing to say. 我没有什么要说的了。to say修饰nothing。

The boy to attend the meeting needs formal cloths to wear. 要去参会的男孩需要些看起来正式的衣服。

从句：

定语从句，也就是从句在句子中作定语成分。
